Welcome Dr. Julie Spence to True MediSpa

The New Year is here and at True MediSpa we are pleased to start it off right by welcoming Dr. Julie Spence to our team.

Joining our founder, Dr. Francine Gerstein, Dr. Spence brings consederable education, training and experience in a broad range of medical fields, including over 25 years of practice in emergency medicine, earning a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Epidemiology and Bioethics, and working and conducting research in the field of public health right here in Toronto.

In 2011, Dr. Spence added yet another medical specialty to her resume when she completed extensive training to become a qualified neuromodulator and dermal filler injector. Just in case you’re not sure what they all mean, neuromodulators help in reducing the appearance of wrinkles, frown lines and crow’s feet by helping the tissue beneath the wrinkle to relax. If you’re familiar with the commercial names Botox and/or Dysport, they are neuromodulators.

Like Botox and Dysport, dermal fillers reduce the appearance of wrinkles by filling lines, creases, or an area, with a substance that’s injected under the skin. Dermal fillers can also be used to add volume to different areas of the face, lips and hands.

So now you know how Dr. Spence can help you!! Perhaps best of all for our clients, Dr. Spence continues to perfect and add to her aesthetic practice with continuing medical education and training. And, with her background in emergency medicine and public health issues, Dr. Spence will fit right in with the warm, caring, personalized approach we practice here at True MediSpa.

Welcome Dr. Spence! We look forward to working with you.
