All of our medical cosmetic treatments are performed by Dr. Gerstein, who specializes in injectables. Our medical aesthetic treatments are performed by our highly trained medical aestheticians.

Dr. Francine Gerstein

Dr. Francine Gerstein is a physician and owner of True MediSpa since 2005. She is an advanced certified injector with over 15 years of experience in aesthetic medicine injecting neurotoxins and dermal fillers. Dr. Gerstein is committed to excellent and up-to-date medical care as well as her natural approach to beauty. She sincerely enjoys helping people achieve beautiful skin and an improved sense of wellbeing. She is committed to life-long learning and is always striving to refine her skills and knowledge by attending conferences, workshops and private training events. Dr. Gerstein graduated with honours from the University of Toronto Medical School in 1997 and completed a residency in Family Medicine at the University of Toronto in 1999. In 2003 she developed an interest in aesthetic medicine and, since extensively training in the field, has become one of the top injectors in Toronto with vast knowledge and expertise.

She is a member of the Canadian Association of Aesthetic Medicine, College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, Ontario Medical Association and College of Family Physicians of Canada. Dr. Gerstein has been featured on The Morning Show, Breakfast Television and The Marylin Denis Show. She has been written about in several magazines including Elevate, Fashion and Flare. Dr. Gerstein has a special interest in skincare. She has written many related articles, attends industry tradeshows and conferences, and has contributed to skincare formulations. She also enjoys painting and you will see her artwork on the walls of True MediSpa, proving that facial injections require artistry as much as scientific knowledge.

The importance of going to a medical clinic that is physician owned and operated

There are many clinics in Toronto which offer many services. However, it is up to the client to do their due diligence. Just because a clinic offers a service or product, it does not mean that they are qualified to do so. The advantage of going to a clinic that is owned and operated by a physician is the security of knowing that they have the ability to offer gold-standard technology, advanced training and a higher level of safety. Decisions such as injectables and laser procedures should not be solely make based on price. Doing so may lead you into the wrong hands. At True you will always have the confidence in knowing that there is a doctor close by. Some procedures and injectables are contraindicated in some individuals. A physician will know this but a clinic without a physician may not be aware of this valuable information.
