Syringes of Filler

“I need how many syringes of filler?”

Dermal fillers are gel-like substances that are injected under the skin to soften lines and folds and restore lost volume. When dermal fillers were introduced decades ago, “spot treatment” of single areas of the face, including nasolabial folds and lips, was common practice. Although these areas are still often injected today, the approach to injecting fillers over the last few years has evolved significantly. No longer is it just about chasing lines and folds. Instead the goal is to restore lost volume to multiple areas of the face that occurs with aging, including the cheeks, chin and around the eyes. Larger amounts of dermal filler are required with this pan-facial injection approach than for spot treatments. However, the results are more balanced and natural looking since all areas of the face are addressed.

Below is a photo illustrating the amount of filler in 1, 2, 4, 8, 12 and 16 syringes. The filler has been applied on tablespoons to show the small amount of filler in one or two syringes compared with the amount of filler in 16 syringes. However, it also shows that 16 syringes still fit into a tablespoon.
